Jaehyun Unveils His Second Solo Single “Horizon” Under NCT LAB and STATION Project

South Korean singer and NCT member, Jaehyun, is ready to set the K-pop scene ablaze with the release of his second digital single, “Horizon.” The highly anticipated track is scheduled to drop on August 8, 2023, making it the seventh STATION release of the year and the seventh release under NCT LAB. Jaehyun, whose real name is 재현 (Jaehyun) in Korean and ジェヒョン (Je Hyon) in Japanese, is a multi-talented artist known for his exceptional vocal prowess, impressive lyricism, and charismatic acting skills. Under the management of SM Entertainment, Jaehyun has been making waves as a member of the popular boy group NCT and its sub-units NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT DOJAEJUNG. The journey to stardom for Jaehyun began in 2012 when he was discovered by SM Entertainment’s street scouts right in front of his school. This encounter led to him being cast into the prestigious agency and subsequently introduced as a member of the pre-debut trainee team, SMROOKIES, on December 9, 2013.

Throughout his career, Jaehyun has been actively participating in various projects and activities within the entertainment industry. In 2014, he, along with fellow NCT members, appeared on the show “Exo 90:2014,” where they showcased their talent by performing classic hits from the 90s. Later, from January to July 2015, Jaehyun and fellow NCT member Doyoung took on the role of MCs on MBC Music’s “Show Champion,” further establishing themselves as rising stars. The multi-talented artist didn’t stop there. In July 2015, Jaehyun, together with Ten, another NCT member, participated in the Hope Basketball All-Star competition, demonstrating not only their musical talents but also their athletic prowess. Jaehyun’s versatility shone once again in December 2015 when he participated in Disney Channel Korea’s “The Mickey Mouse Club” and performed the iconic duet “A Whole New World” from Aladdin with former SMROOKIES member Herin.

In April 2016, Jaehyun officially made his debut as a member of NCT U, one of NCT’s rotational units, with the release of their singles “The 7th Sense” and “Without You.” His magnetic stage presence and outstanding vocal abilities captivated fans and critics alike. Later that year, on July 4, 2016, Jaehyun was revealed as the second member of NCT 127, another sub-unit of NCT. NCT 127 debuted with their EP “NCT #127” on July 10, 2016, solidifying Jaehyun’s position as a prominent member within the group. In November 2017, Jaehyun collaborated with d.ear for the song “Try Again,” released as part of the SM STATION project, showcasing his ability to excel in both group and solo projects. His musicality and emotional delivery left a lasting impact on listeners. Jaehyun’s talent extended beyond singing and rapping, as he demonstrated his acting skills in the music video for “The Little Match Girl,” featuring Wendy and Baek A Yeon, released in December 2017.

Continuing his journey with NCT, Jaehyun actively participated in the group’s first studio album, “NCT 2018 Empathy,” which was released on March 14, 2018. His appearance in the music video for “Black On Black” was a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft. Breaking new ground in his solo endeavors, Jaehyun announced his first solo song, “Forever Only,” on August 12, 2022, under the NCT LAB project. The track was released on August 18, 2022, and received overwhelming support from fans and music enthusiasts worldwide. Now, gearing up to mark his return as a solo artist, Jaehyun’s second single, “Horizon,” is set to be released on August 8, 2023. With the anticipation building and the success of his previous solo release, fans can expect another masterpiece from the talented artist.
