Jo Yuri (Korean: 조유리, Japanese: チョユリ; or simply Yuri) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under WAKEONE. In July 2017, Yuri became a contestant on the survival show Idol School. She ranked 15th place in the finale, thus being unable to debut with fromis 9.On May 11, 2018, she was revealed as a contestant on Produce 48, where she would represent Stone Music Entertainment. She finished 3rd overall, thus becoming a member of IZ*ONE.[4] The group officially debuted on October 29 with their first mini album Color*IZ.
On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their special contract was concluded. Then, Yuri returned to Stone Music as a trainee. On September 24, 2021, a teaser posted via her official social media announced that she will make her solo debut on October 7 with the single album “Glassy”. On May 13, 2022 WAKEONE confirmed that Yuri will be making her comeback with a mini album in June. On July 4, 2023, WAKEONE revealed that Jo Yuri will be releasing a mini album in early August.
