Ren, formerly of NU’EST, just released two music video teasers for his upcoming title single, “Ready To Move,” which will be included on his debut solo mini album, Ren’dezvous. In the teaser, he exudes his free-spirited appeal, providing a dreamlike atmosphere. “Ready To Move” is a pop song with a distinctive and mysterious melody that conveys the concept of going forward without hesitation. The album, on the other hand, is planned to be released on June 13 at 6 p.m. KST. The physical album comes in three versions: Seed, Season and PLVE.
Ren (렌) is a BPM Entertainment South Korean singer-songwriter. He is the ex-maknae of the boy band NU’EST. Ren made her NU’EST debut on March 15, 2012, with their first single “Face.” In 2017, he competed in Mnet’s survival reality show Produce 101 Season 2 with fellow members Minhyun, Baekho, and JR, finishing in 20th place. Minhyun was the only member to make it to the final 11 to promote with the project group Wanna One, while the other members created the four-member subgroup NU’EST W (the W in the name indicates that the group is waiting for him to return), releasing three mini albums between 2017 and 2018.
Pledis Entertainment announced on February 28, 2022, that the contracts of the NU’EST members will end on March 14, 2022, and Ren elected not to renew with the firm. On April 11, it was announced that he is in talks with BPM Entertainment to secure a contract. Later, on May 7, 2022, BPM Entertainment announced that Ren had officially signed on as a solo artist with the agency. Ren will make his acting debut in the drama I Have Waited a Long Time for You, BPM Entertainment announced on November 8. Ren will make his solo debut in June, according to BPM Entertainment, on May 18, 2023.
