J-hope, meantime, joined in the ROK Army’s 36th Homeland Defense Infantry Division, which is based in Wonju, Gangwon-do, in April of this year. J-Hope applied for the termination of his enlistment delay on February 26, 2023, and BigHit Music declared that he would soon begin his military service. He served as an active duty soldier. Although BigHit would not confirm it, on April 13 it was reported that he would enlist on April 18.
J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer under BigHit Music. He debuted as a member of BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, Bōdan Shōnendan; also known as the Bangtan Boys and Beyond the Scene) on June 13, 2013 with the single album “2 Cool 4 Skool”. He released his first mixtape, Hope World on March 2, 2018. He then made his official solo debut with his first full-length album Jack In The Box on July 15, 2022. On February 27, 2023, it was announced that J-Hope will be releasing his third digital single, “On the Street”, ahead of his military enlistment on March 3.
